MTM API glossary

  • AnswerID
    Refers to the MTM unique identifier for each question response from a survey.
  • Bunit XID (Business Unit XID)
    It is the unique identifier of the business unit passed from client’s system, tied to the client.
  • BusinessUnitID
    Refers to the MTM generated unique identifier for groupings of students.
  • Certification ID (Attribute of Instructor element's child)
    The Certification ID of the instructor within the certification program. Certification id is an attribute of certification element which is child of instructor element. Certifications are an optional part of the instructor element and describes the certifications associated to an instructor.
  • Certification ID (Attribute of Location element's child)
    The Certification ID of the location within the certification program. Certification id is an attribute of certification element which is child of location element. Certifications are an optional part of the location element and describes the certifications associated to a location.
  • Class XID
    Refers to the unique identifier for the class passed from client system.
  • ClassID
    It is the MTM generated unique identifier for learning events.
  • ClassInstructor XID
    Refers to the XID of the instructor being assigned to a learning event.
  • Client XID
    Refers to the unique identifier of the client passed from client’s system.
  • ClientID
    Refers to the MTM generated unique identifier for groupings of students.
  • Conference XID
    Refers to the unique identifier of the overall conference event from the client’s system.
  • Course XID
    Refers to the Course’s unique identifier provided by the client’s LMS. More often this is imported into MTM through an integration file. Conferences are included in the results of the Class endpoint (eventType = Conference or Session) and can be linked back to the Course endpoint using courseID.
  • CourseID
    It is MTM’s unique identifier for courses. It is generated by MTM each time a new course is created. CourseIDs do not change, to match a response to the corresponding course you can link the Response to the Class (using ClassID or EventID) and the Class to the Course (using CourseID).
  • CurCourse XID
    Refers to the XID of the course being added to the curriculum
  • Curriculum XID
    Refers to the unique identifier for the bottom level of the hierarchy, in which courses are grouped.
  • CurriculumID
    It is the XID of the curriculum to which the course was added. Curriculumid is an attribute of the CurCourse element. ( CourseHierarchy Element > Curriculum > CurCourse )
  • EnrollmentID
    It is the MTM generated unique identifier for the student enrolled in the learning event.
  • EvalSubmittedID
    Refers to the MTM generated unique identifier for a survey submission.
  • EventID
    Refers to the MTM generated unique identifier for learning events.
  • ExternalClassID
    It is the customer provided unique identifier for the learning event.
  • ExternalCourseID
    It is the unique name provided by the customer for a grouping of learning events.
  • ExternalInstructorID
    Refers to the customer provided unique identifier for instructor who facilitates learning events.
  • ExternalLocationID
    It is the customer given unique identifier for location of learning event.
  • ExternalStudentID
    Refers to the MTM generated unique identifier for the external student.
  • ExternalVendorID
    It is the unique name provided by the customer.
  • FormID
    Refers to the MTM generated unique identifier for the survey
  • FormTypeID
    Refers to the MTM generated unique identifier of the survey types
  • Instructor XID
    It is the unique identifier of the instructor element in the client’s system
  • InstructorID
    It is the MTM given unique identifier for instructor who facilitates learning events
  • Level XID
    Refers to the unique identity value for level.( The Level is part of the coursehierarchy element and describes the different levels within the hierarchy.) Level XID must be unique for all levels across all hierarchies.
  • Location XID
    Refers to the unique identifier of the location pass from client system.
  • Manager XID
    It is the client’s system’s unique identifier for the manager. Manager XID is an attribute of Manager Element. Manager Element is an optional part of the student element and describes the student’s manager who will receive a manager survey.
  • ManagerIdentifier
    Refers to the email address for the manager assigned to the student
  • OrganizationID
    It is the MTM generated unique identifier for each customer
  • ParentEventID
    Refers to the MTM generated unique ID for a sessions overall conference
  • ParentQuestionID
    Refers to the questionID of the question’s parent
  • QuestionCategoryID
    Refers to the MTM generated unique identifier for the Question Category the Question belongs to.
  • QuestionID
    Refers to the MTM generated unique identifier for the question on a survey
  • Region XID
    Refers to the unique identifier for the bottom level of the hierarchy, in which locations are grouped.
  • Regionlocation XID
    It is the XID of the location being added to the region
  • ResponderIdentifier
    Refers to the MTM generated unique identifier for the student
  • SchedulingOrgID
    It is the organisation ID of customer who created the learning event
  • SRC QID
    It is the MTM ID for the demographic question. SRC QID is an attribute of SRC Element. SRC Element is an optional part of the student element and describes the student’s demographics which will be available in reporting.
  • SRC XID
    It is the unique identifier of the demographics question in client system. SRC XID is an attribute of SRC Element. SRC Element is an optional part of the student element and describes the student’s demographics which will be available in reporting.
  • Student XID
    It links student record in MTM to record in the client's System.
  • Vendor XID
    Refers to the unique identifier for the Vendor from the client’s system.
  • VendorLocationID
    It is the MTM generated unique identifier for location of learning event
  • VendorOrgID
    Refers to the organisation identifier of customer who is offering the learning event
