- Log into Blue.
- Edit the project the user should receive access to.
- Navigate to the Access tab.
- Select the datasource where the user exists and click Select Users.
- Select the user(s) that require access to the project.
- Click Close and Save the Project.
Repeat these same steps to give the user(s) access to a report.
Assign a Blue role to a user
- Log in as Blue admin and navigate to Record Management.
- Search for the user from the list and select Details.
- Select the appropriate Blue User Type from the drop-down menu.
- Click on Apply Changes.
Change a user's Blue user role by datasource import
The Blue role of a single user can be easily changed from Record Management. However, when there are hundreds of Blue roles to change from the same datasource, the most convenient and easy way to do so is through datasource import.
- Ensure there is a column in the datasource that contains the Blue role ID for each user (e.g. called BlueRole). Each value in the column must be the ID of the Blue role. Below is a table that lists the Role ID for each Blue role for reference.
- Navigate to Datasources - edit Datasource - Import/Export - Importing.
- Configure the system fields and additional fields options. (Find out more about Importing a Datasource.)
- Click Import.
