Create a public typical survey

Blue enables you to create two types of surveys:

  • Public - a public survey is used when there is no specific audience, and access to the survey is given via a publicly posted URL (available to all participants).
  • Private - a private survey is used when you have a targeted list of participants who will be emailed with individual links to the survey site. This method enables you to keep track of the response rate, and to send reminders to those who have not completed the survey by a given date.

The following procedures walk-through the process of creating a public survey. You may also find a webinar by University of Louisville entitled Blue Surveys at UofL: A Case Study useful as you begin to create your survey. Another presentation by the University of Alabama in Huntsville entitled BNG 2019 - Using Course Evaluation Data Sources for Other Surveys may also provide inspiration as you proceed.
