Data maintenance

Blue allows administrators the ability to run maintenance on the Blue database. A regular maintenance is performed by Blue itself, and a manual process can also be done.

Manage the Blue database from Connection - SETTINGS. The following information can be added or modified:

  • Database time zone - The system time zone is used throughout Blue anywhere a date and time is required. By default, this is set to (UTC-05:00 Eastern Time (US & Canada). Upon installing or upgrading Blue, set the System Time Zone to the local time zone and then Update Configuration.
  • API Key - Add the ‘API Key’ that Blue requires to access the Blue Web Services.
  • BPI Transactions - Check Immediately Update Pathways to apply the most recent database changes to BPI pathways connected to your organization's portal.
  • User Task Cache - Click Update to update the user task cache. You may choose to enable/disable the user task cache.
  • Blue Configuration - Click Update Configuration to update XML configuration files stored in the database with those used by the application.
  • Blue Data Maintenance - Click Run Maintenance to free up space by clearing out temporary data files, temporary data in database tables, and XML history.
