Group by reports

A Group by report allows you to aggregate data collected on your survey based on the group level you select. For example, you can create a department-level report by aggregating survey results per department.

Reports may be created using any group options available in your course or user data, or by using instructor information to create an aggregate report for instructors who teach multiple courses and would like to have their results consolidated in a single report.

How are Group by Reports Used in Blue?

In a Course Evaluation

  • A group by report could provide the leader of a school/organization with the aggregate results of course performance for each department.
  • Provide instructors with an aggregate report for all of the courses they teach.

In a 360 Review

  • Provide a department head with aggregated results by supervisor.
  • Provide an aggregate report by additional demographics, such as by position, tenure, region, etc.
NOTE

Blue simplified public surveys and typical public surveys can only be used to create Individual Reports. While simplified private surveys and typical private surveys can be used to create both individual and group by reports.
