Add translations to surveys and tests
If you would like to make your surveys and/or tests available to your learners in languages other than English, follow the steps below to configure the translations in MTM.
Before you start, reach out to your MTM Account Team or Support@explorance.com to request that the languages you need are made available in your MTM account. This may require up to five business days to complete.
To set up different languages for a test, follow the steps listed below:
- Click Data Collection > Forms & Emails > Tests
- Search for the test using the search tool and/or Filters, then click on the Test Name
- In the test edit screen, click on the Form Options button
- In the Form Options screen click on Languages
- In this screen, you will see the following items
- Base Language
- This is the language that the test was originally coded in – this will always be listed as English
- Additional Language
- Select the additional language(s) for which you want to translate your test
- Localize Content
- Download Template
- This will download a comma separated value (.CSV) template.
- In this template, you can enter the translations for the Survey Name, Display Name, Description, Page Name, Section Name, questions, and answers
- All of the languages that you selected in the Additional Language dropdown will appear in this template; each unique language will be in a separate column
- When all translations are added, save the file locally on your computer
- Upload Content
- Once you have translated the test and filled out the template, you will need to upload the template to MTM
- To do so, from the Content Management tab within your Survey Options, , click Upload Content > select your file > click Open > click Save
- Download Template
- Base Language
** You may need to reach out to your account team to turn additional languages on for your organization**
