Clients

Clients organize learners into custom groups such as learning partners, business sectors, etc. to aggregate their data in reporting.

Overview

MTM’s Client tool is a way for you to group students based on their association to a particular corporation, department, or any other group. These are your clients who receive your training. MTM allows you to use clients in two ways:

A Client is any organization that can receive training. MTM allows you to use clients in two ways:

  1. Create a class for a specific client. All students who enroll in such a class will be assigned to the specified client;
  2. Assign individual students to any clients that have been added to your account from the Edit Class page or via a LMS integration.

You can search for existing clients or add new ones. Just like with Courses, you can deactivate a client so that they are no longer in client drop-down lists but any data tied to clients in your account will always be available in reporting to maintain data integrity.

The Client tool in MTM allows an administrator to not only create a new client but to also add that client’s domains so the system can assign students to the client more accurately.

Add Clients

The Client feature will allow you to run reports by various clients or create filters to limit reports to only specific clients. Once a client is created, the system will automatically map students to those clients based on the domain name in their email address or organization name given in Alias field.

  1. Navigate to Administration > Learning Assets.
  2. Select Client.
  3. Click Add Client.
  4. In the Client field, enter the client’s name.
  5. Select an Industry from the drop-down menu to associate to the client.
  6. Enter the client’s Email Domain. For example: @explorance.com,
  7. Click Add.
  8. If you wish to continue adding clients, check the box beside Save and Add another Client.

  1. Click Update Client.
NOTE
  • The client assigned to a class will be applied as a default to learners when they are enrolled in the class. If you wish to change the client after learners have been enrolled, Assign students to clients for past classes below

Assign client to an upcoming class

  1. Navigate to Data Collection > Learning Events.
  2. Select Classes.
  3. Set a date range and use Search to locate your class.
  4. Click on your Class Name.

or

  1. Click on the icon in the Actions columns beside your class and select Edit from the drop-down menu.
  2. In the Edit Class screen, expand the Class Details section.
  3. Then expand the Optional Class Information section.
  4. Click on the icon beside the Client field to view the drop-down menu.
  5. Select a Client.
  6. Select Update

Assign or remove students to / from clients for upcoming or past classes

  1. Navigate to Data Collection > Learning Events
  2. Select Classes.
  3. Set a date range in which to search for your class and click on Search.
  4. If your list extends over multiple pages, enter a portion or the complete name of the class in the search field and click Search again.
  5. Click on the Class Name

or

  1. Click on the icon and select Edit from the drop-down menu.
  2. On Edit Class page, expand the Student section and check the box(es) next to each /the student(s) you wish to assign or remove to / from a Client.
  3. Click on the Select Actionsicon to view its drop-down menu.
  4. Select Assign Client
  5. Click Go
    1. In the pop-up window, click on the beside the Client field to view a drop-down menu and select the appropriate Client.
    2. Click Assign

or

  1. Select Remove Client.
  2. Click Go
    1. In the pop-up window, click Remove to confirm your selection.
    2. Click Go
  3. Click Update.
NOTE

For past classes, MTM Reporting will reflect the association between the student's evaluation and the client within 24 hours
