Out now - BlueML models - more, better, deeper insights
We are excited to announce new capabilities in BlueML (Blue Machine Learning) are now available!
Meet MLY, the BlueML robot that wants every voice to be heard!
More, Better, Deeper Insights with this BlueML Update
BlueML has learned some new tricks! Understand better what your employees and students are saying. BlueML has learned to:
- Identify more than 200k new patterns to greatly improve the quantity and quality of insights you get out of your comments.
- Give you a detailed picture of what your students are saying about how they feel outside the classroom.
- Give you a deep understanding of what your employees are saying about their quality of life and job experiences.
- Understand several languages in a single analysis, including French, German, Japanese and Arabic.
In this update, we have:
- Fine-tuned the existing models to recognize additional patterns and correlations to deliver even better insights.
- Added new student experience topic areas that uncover deeper insights about how they feel outside the classroom.
- Added new employee experience topic areas that reveal what they are saying about their quality of life and job experiences.
- Added new multilingual models to discover more insights from across your organization/institution.
More Patterns & Correlations
As the BlueML models continue to evolve, they are able to recognize more patterns and correlations that lead to additional actionable insights.
- For example, BlueML is now discovering more topics linked to negative comments that can reveal the root cause of the feedback making these insights actionable.
New Student Topic Areas
With the addition of these new topic areas, discover hidden or emerging patterns and trends that could relate to retention, new enrollment, or future funding issues such as:
- Students dropping out because of persistent negative day-to-day experiences.
- Students applying to other universities because they read negative reviews about the student experience at your institution.
- Alumni not donating to the university or participating in the association because, although they graduated, they didn’t like their student experience.
Get ahead of these issues by uncovering their existence in BlueML’s actionable insights and plan how to solve them.
New Employee Topic Areas
With the addition of these new topic areas, discover hidden or emerging patterns and trends that could relate to retention or recruiting issues such as:
- Employees quitting because of persistent negative day-to-day experiences.
- Potential job candidates not applying because they read negative reviews about the employee experience at your organization.
Get ahead of these issues by uncovering their existence in BlueML’s actionable insights and plan how to solve them.
New Multilingual Models
With these models, BlueML can now process comments from audiences that were:
- previously not heard (no comments submitted), or
- not understood (comments not recognized when written in another language other than English).
BlueML models have been trained to process comments in French, Japanese, German, and Arabic (See the table below for details).
If you have any questions about the new BlueML capabilities, please contact the Explorance Product Team.

- If you wish to preserve your previous analysis, re-upload your data and run it separately with the new version of the model.
If I have created Custom models, will they still be available?
- Yes, all previous analyses in the Analysis list can be viewed with the categorizations used in the previous version of your Custom model.
- You can recreate your Custom model using the new version of your base model and re-run a previous analysis. Please note that the results of the previous analysis will be overwritten.
- If you wish to preserve your previous analysis, re-upload your data and run it separately with the new Custom model.
