Product notice - Blue 9.2 is on the way!
Explorance is pleased to announce that Blue 9.2 will be available to you as of June 25, 2024.
Release Highlights
Explorance Blue 9.2 is just around the corner with enhancements to streamline your workflow and boost insights:
- The Response Rate Monitor with new channels and the enhanced Report Logs will help you track, analyze, and manage survey data collection and engagement with reports.
- The Assignment and Grade Service in the new Blue/Canvas LTI integration will enable a Canvas admin or an instructor to link evaluations and/or grades directly to assignments at any point during the course.
These Blue 9.2 enhancements that includes new Blue Home, DIG and Blue Dashboard updates aim to deepen insights and expand possibilities for listening to organizational feedback. In addition, we incorporated recent feedback to enrich both the Blue admin and user experiences.
New response rate monitor channels
Gain a deeper understanding of user engagement and behavior by channel for improved survey participation and completion tracking.

Report logs
A new centralized Report Log now provides Blue admins with immediate insights into report engagement (who has received and who has viewed or downloaded the report) without the need to activate the report logs.
New Blue/Canvas assignment & grade service
With the Blue/Canvas LTI integration, Canvas admins and instructors can now seamlessly integrate assignments with point values into Canvas courses and require completion before advancing to the next assignment.
Additional refinements included in this release
New Blue Home Controls For Admins
- Enable or disable users' access to edit their display name and profile pictures.
- Rename captions of the tag and category dropdowns (ex: by year, department, etc.).
- Configure the default sort order of the Task/Report pages.
Add Group Names To Task Titles
- The Blue Home task list can now include group name piping (ex: "Manager", "Direct Report" for 360 projects; "Faculty", "Student" for multisource course evaluations).
Accessibility Enhancements
- Improvements have been added to the fillout, QP, and reporting experiences to increase accessibility for users with diverse abilities.
Data Import Improvements
- Enhanced error and warning messages for email, language, and user ID streamline the import process.
New Latest Activities List Shortcut
- Each published project and report in the Blue Administration Latest Activities List now includes a quick-access shortcut.
Language Preference No Longer Needed For User Creation
- Users without a specified language preference will automatically receive communications in all languages available for the project.

Q. What if I am using Blue 8, can I upgrade to DIG 3?
A. No, to upgrade to DIG 3, you must be using Blue 9.2 and above.
Q. What if I am using Blue 8, can I upgrade to Blue Dashboard 4.1?
A. Yes, it is possible to upgrade to Dashboard 4.1 provided you are using Blue 8.1.2 or 9.2 and above.
Q. Can I still continue to use Blue 8?
A. Yes, we encourage you to schedule your upgrade to Blue 9, once Blue 9.2 becomes available on June 25, 2024, however Blue 8 will continue to be supported. To learn more, consult the Blue 8 Long-Term Support Notice.
