Add a comment box question

Comment questions are open-ended, which means the respondents can provide free form text feedback instead of being limited to predefined options. Comment questions create an opportunity to collect in-depth responses and detailed opinions on a topic or problem. But it also requires more time and effort to complete. Use it moderately to avoid exhausting your respondents.

ICON	TYPE	DESCRIPTION
	Single line response	Comment box that only allows one line. If the text is longer than the box length, the overflowing part will not be displayed.
	Multiple line response	Comment box that contains more than one line with customizable height.

Add a comment question

1. Navigate to Form - Main page, and place the cursor where you want to insert the element.
2. Select the comment question icon () from the Question toolbar to open the menu and choose a type between the single line and multi-line response.

Customize your comment question

1. Select the question to open the Edit question panel.
2. Go to Edit question - Display:
   1. Set the display type.
   2. Set the Number of lines to modify the height of the multiple-row text box.
   3. Set the Width (%).
3. Go to Edit question - Settings.
   1. Bind or type a Question title (required).
   2. Fill the Description, Question ID, Default value and Watermark if needed.
4. Go to Edit question - Validation:
   1. Set the maximum Text length.
   2. Choose a format from the Text format drop-down. Check the details in Regular expression.
   3. Make the question mandatory by enabling the Required toggle, or select the asterisk icon () next to the question.
