Breakdown by rater group element
The Breakdown by Rater Group element is one of the most straightforward group elements that exists. It enables the user to see the results in a report broken down by rater groups. In other words, if there are several rater groups in the evaluation, results coming from each rater group can be distinguished.
This type of breakdown makes most sense when multiple rater groups exist. The best usage of this group element is in 360 Evaluations where subjects will be rated by several groups, some of which will have their own Blue privileges, and are located differently within the company hierarchy.
Comment type blocks will only display information in a report if a Breakdown by Rater Group element is selected.
Group element configuration
The above image is taken from a 360 Evaluation. All rater groups may be selected or a combination of them to use in the breakdown.
The Score enables the project manager to select one of two ways to calculate the results:
- Score average (mean) - calculates the average of all responses of the selected rater groups.
- Sum Total - calculates the sum of all responses of the selected rater groups.

Question - Score Block
In a Score block, a Breakdown by Rater Group element will enable report readers to quickly compare the results across groups, enabling them to determine which groups rate the subject favorably, or unfavorably. Ultimately, other group elements can be selected also to compare them with each other.

Cross Category - Response Table
The breakdown by rater group element is mandatory in order to enable the report reader to check the evaluation response rates. For a 360 Evaluation, report readers may be interested to differentiate between evaluations coming in from their Managers, their Peers, or any other selected rater group.

Response Sheet
The Breakdown by Rater Group element is mandatory in order to enable the report reader to check the response sheet. The Rater group name can be hidden, so the response sheets appearing in the report can be completely anonymous.
