Explorance Blue and MLY training
Blue: Where to start
All learners new to Blue should begin with one or all of the three foundational courses: Course Evaluations, 360 feedback, and Surveys. Each of these courses includes 10-15 hours of content and earns a digital certification upon completion. These are available as both self-directed eLearning and virtual instructor-led training.
The foundation courses
Completing all three beginning courses prepares new administrators to use all the project types possible with Blue. There is some overlap of content, but learners should prioritize completing the training(s) relevant to how they will be using Blue.
- Course evaluation training covers how to create instructor and course evaluations.
- 360 feedback training is designed for organizations conducting 180/360 employee assessments. 1
- Surveys introduces the use of Blue for single-topic surveys.
Additional Blue courses
In addition, the following courses are available in self-directed eLearning training and can be accessed directly in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Blue 9 Transition Training: If you are upgrading to Blue 9, you will want to enroll in the Blue 9 Transition Course. This course covers all the changes from Blue 8 to Blue 9 and can be selected on the Training Registration Form.
- Subject Management: a feature that provides designated users with access to response rates, evaluation timing controls, and other advanced options
- Question Bank: a feature for managing large, complex questionnaires involving multiple group-specific or specialty questions
- Dynamic Role Access (DRA): a feature that allows you to automatically assign and update reporting privileges based on roles in your organization
- Data Integrity Gateway (DIG): a data management tool that allows designated users to correct errors before the data is pushed to the evaluation project
- Blue Dashboard: an analytical tool that uses data from Blue projects to track feedback trends
- Blue Text Analytics (BTA): a tool that quantifies and analyzes the contents of collected comments
Blue: Virtual instructor-led training
Only course evaluation and 360 courses are available as virtual instructor-led training. To maintain small, interactive sessions, registrations are limited to 10 learners per session. Registration closes one week before training is scheduled to begin to allow learners enough time to complete the necessary pre-work prior to day 1 of training. Please note these courses are being offered over 4 days for 3-4 hours per session. Attendees must attend all days and complete about 1 hour of pre-work before each session.
Schedule: Course Evaluation and 360 sessions are notated with their abbreviation.

Formation autodirigee en français
La formation autodirigée en évaluation de cours et du 360° sont actuellement disponibles en français. Vous pouvez choisir l'une ou l'autre option lors de votre inscription.
MLY training
There are two ways to access training for MLY:
- Directly, from the MLY interface. (Note: training is not tracked and will not “save” if you exit)
- Registering for MLY training using the training registration form.
Registering is recommended for MLY training, as this will not only allow your training progress to be tracked and saved, but registration comes with access to a MLY training server so you can practice using MLY without impacting your allotted comment upload limits.
Training access
Blue training requires the purchase of a training contract. Contact your account manager or other members of your support team for details.
A training contract may include multiple people and each person occupies one training seat. A training seat is dedicated to one person for one year and can only be transferred to another person if the original subscriber leaves the organization or changes roles and no longer works with Blue. A training seat does not include on-site or expert training camps, which may require an additional fee.
