Export responses for use outside Blue

The Reports - Publish page includes the ability to specify how you want responses to be exported as raw response data that can be used for manual analysis (Include raw response data option is found in Report > Info > General). The raw output includes all the response data for all of the questions in the project and is not restricted by any of the report settings, except for the report type. This means that all response data is included for all questions regardless of any report filters that may affect the HTML report and it also means that if you export responses for a group by report, the responses will be grouped.

Responses can be Output As:

• Captions - Raw response data is output as a CSV file with responses appearing as the actual text selections made by the respondents. Free-form comments and non-answers are also included along with a separate legend file that contains each question and the available answers.
• Scores - Raw Response data is output as a CSV file with responses appearing as numerical values rather than the actual text. Free-form comments and non-answers are included along with a separate legend file that contains each question and the available answers. Numerical values for each response are defined in the project when creating the question.
• Text Analytics - A CSV file is created for each of the applicable dictionaries. The file includes a list of all the free-form comments being analyzed and all the themes the comment falls within.
• QDA Miner - A proprietary QDA Miner file is created which includes all of the raw comment data. This file can then be imported into Provalis Research QDA Miner analysis software and analyzed.

Export/Import Responses exports response data, but only as captions, not scores. However, exporting response data from Export/Import Responses includes all demographic data along with the response data.

Advanced Export provides the opportunity to customize the response output, including demographic data, date ranges, questions, and either captions or scores for each question returned.
