Hide a report block based on response count
Report Blocks can be hidden based on question response counts through the use of triggers and response thresholds.
Create a report trigger based on the number of responses to a question
Report blocks can be hidden by default. The process described below requires that the questions you will be hiding must have enabled the Hidden by Default feature, that is located in the report block settings.
- Go to Reports and select the report you wish to modify
- Navigate to Content - Triggers
- Select Add Trigger
- Enter a Trigger Name, e.g., "Hide RC < 5"
- In the Trigger Condition Type drop-down list, select Response Threshold
- Select Add New Filter
- Select a Question from the drop-down list that you wish to apply the trigger to
- Enter the Minimum response threshold, a value that will determine how many responses are required before the trigger is activated
- Select Apply
- Select Add To List
- From the Trigger List, select Action next to the trigger just created
- Choose which block(s) will be displayed or hidden once the minimum response threshold is met by selecting
- Yes - report block will be hidden until the response count meets the threshold value
- No - report block will never be displayed (not recommended)
- N/A - condition will not be applied to this report block
- After setting the blocks to show or hide, select Apply
- Save Report. The next time the report is generated the trigger will be applied.
