Duplicate a question based on a previous response

You can configure a logic action to repeat a question multiple times based on the response given to a previous question. This could be a numeric question, or the number of responses to a multiple-choice question.

Integrate a repeat logic action by following these steps:

Prepare the questions related to the action on Main page.
Select the repeat () action from the Logic toolbar.
Rename the action.

BEST PRACTICE

Setting a name for each action is highly recommended because if you have more than one action of the same type, they would be named the same. A customized name will allow you to differentiate it from other actions.

Select the content you want to repeat in the form.
Go to Repeat rule.
Choose a repeat rule from the drop-down:
1. Response given to - Choose a numeric question from the form. The response given to this question will decide how many times your selection would be repeated.
2. Number of responses given to - Choose a multiple response choice question from the form. The number of options selected will determine how many times your selection will be repeated.

IMPORTANT

Questions inside of a custom area cannot be selected when configuring logic.

Define a condition for when the repeat action will take place (optional).

Select I'm done to finish.

You can use a pipe logic after the repeat logic. This can help make questions more precise, especially when a question is repeated. Each repeated question will also insert the previous response in the title. Pay attention to the order of the logic actions.

In the following example, if you define the pipe logic before the repeat, the pipe action will be executed first, and it will end up with a different result.
