This article lists the topics used in the Employee Experience Intelligence (EEI) analysis type and provides definitions, keywords and examples to help you navigate, filter and understand your analyses and the insights they contain. The topics are listed in alphabetical order and any specific topic can be located quickly by clicking on Control F on the page and entering the name of the topic.

Accountability/Responsibility

Definition - Showing acceptance of responsibility for one's own actions, focusing on problem solving without blaming others or making excuses.

Examples - "My manager is accountable and makes sure we are all accountable for our actions/ inaction. My manager appears to be forthright as can be expected in what is relayed to us."

"Leadership speaks about fostering an environment which is collaborative across all areas however, there is no real accountability for those associates which are unapproachable and want to continue to work in silos."

"Address issues as they arise instead of putting them off and follow through with what you say you're going to do."

"She is supportive and she does the work, doesn't just say it."

"She is always there, whether it is for a work question, a personal matter or a discussion needed for an issue, and she doesn't blow anyone or anything off. Agility (New)

Definition - Organizational agility is about how a company reacts to change.

Examples - "We do not have the leadership mindset and culture to truly embrace and demonstrate business agility."

"Our current processes do not support agility. When a change is needed, we are slow to respond and adapt. I see a general resistance to change in my immediate organization. We do not have the tools we need in order to be successful. There is a lot of wasted work on my team."

How are we preventing our organization from becoming the next Sears? With Amazon, Apple and others entering the market place, how does the ORGANIZATION go from Naval Fleet agility to Ski boat agility?

Alignment (New)

Definition - The process of creating unity between the company’s ultimate vision of success and the way leaders and individual contributors drive business results.

Examples - "Communication, while robust in volume and frequency, is severely deficient in meaningful content. In other words, despite the many emails and video chat updates, leadership appears to say alot without saying anything at all. Understandably, big changes like those "alignment" changes we're experiencing at this time aren't meant to be shared at all levels in great detail, but once the ball starts rolling and associates become aware of the magnitude of these changes there is anxiety, fear and gossip that can't be dispelled without more in-depth communication."

"I take part in many project initiatives and often see individuals/teams struggling to align priorities and deliver expected results. I also see a gap in celebrating the wins."

"I feel the work I do gets recognized when appropriate. I feel that more than before I'm involved in conversations that impact the work I'm doing and I feel in the loop. Autonomy

Definition - How much freedom employees have while working, including freedom to decide how the work should be done as well as freedom from scrutiny/micro management within the workplace.

Examples - I am free to take on any responsibilities I want and it is nice that the people at ORGANIZATION typically support that. Basically, if you raise your hand, they let you do what you want to do.

I get micromanaged to the point that I can't even go to the bathroom when I want.

Work is never overworked, so you can work at your own pace.

I am asked for my opinion and I am allowed to make decisions.

Benefits/Perks

Definition - Non-monetary compensation offered by an employer.

Business Management

Definition - The process of coordinating and organizing business operations and activities.

Keywords - how the company is run/managed, strategy, (strategic) direction, planning

Examples - G&A is being managed as a production based unit and not as a cost mitigation unit. A lot of valuable tenured associates have left the unit because we do not feel valued.

Given the recent Reorgs and with Legato/offshore model, its unclear to assess Leadership's strategic direction on how this will impact the Organization and Employees in the future.

The business strategy is well established, and people on the frontline can work with peace of mind. The business model is one that is expected to grow steadily, but I feel that many employees have the ambition to take on challenges in new areas.

Bonus

Definition - Any type of variable financial compensation given to an employee above and beyond their normal wage, usually based on their performance.

Examples - My manager makes me feel valued as an associate in the level of responsibility that she gives me as well as her trust in handling the important projects that she makes me the lead on. She has given me awards throughout the year as well as a raise and a very generous bonus.

I am thankful for the bonus we receive I wish that was issued via Human Resources instead of the management

Let us keep quarterly bonuses - Yearly bonuses don't provide incentive to work hard throughout the year. The payout yearly is way less than quarterly.

Business Travel

Definition - Travel that is undertaken for business purposes

Examples - Most reps aren't given opportunities to travel much for sales meetings

Love that I get to travel Las Vegas every year for work -- Fully comped!

Traveling is my greatest issue with my role. Week to Week traveling does not help work life balance.

Camaraderie

Definition - The presence of a friendly relationship between coworkers.

Keywords - camaraderie, friends, friendship

Examples - Everyone is very close in their social life. Camaraderie > Employees > Pos

Candidate Experience

Definition - Perceptions and feeling that job applicants during their hiring process, including all interactions that candidates have with a company from the job application process to the final decision-making stage.

Examples - I'm being let go because I cannot pass a Level II Background Screening, and I don't feel the company is doing enough to help me find another suitable position with the company.

The interviews are not been conducted properly , many people are taken into the company without any prior experience by taking money , we have already reached out to HR but no action is taken , there is no action against malpractices happening in the company.

The hiring process was very quick

Career

Definition - Profession for which people are trained and in which one advances during their working life

Keywords - career

Examples - Joining ORGANIZATION continues to be the best professional decision I've ever made.

ORGANIZATION has provided many opportunities to adjust my career during different stages in my life they have been my family.

ORGANIZATION is a great company that you can make a career out of as I did.

I believe this is an awesome company to start and end a career at.

Working here wasn't a smart career move.

Caring

Definition - Displaying kindness and concern for other employees.

Keywords - care, caring, empathy, compassion, considerate, kind, nice

Examples - Company support, flexibility, compassion

She cares about her associates and motivates the team to meet results.

My boss doesn't give a crap about us. I had a major negative life event that affected me greatly and she couldn't have cared less. And she's like that with everyone.

Colleagues

Definition - A person who works for the same organization as the commenter.

Keywords - Colleagues, Coworkers, teammates, peers

Examples - Co-workers are easy to get along with.

Most coworkers are afraid of taking responsibility of their actions I enjoy all my coworkers and their professionalism.

Communication

Definition - The sharing of information or ideas among people, including the level of transparency and/or openness, as well as issues such as communication silos which affect said communication.

Examples - When ORGANIZATION took over it expanded exponentially and communication disintegrated. Headquarters did not recognize or respond to us promptly.

Everyone is very responsive, and communication seems to flow nicely between teams.

I want you to communicate more with your supervisor to hear and share specific policies of the department.

Community

Definition - Community refers to the internal community as well as the sense of belonging to the internal community.

Keywords - community, family

Examples - I feel our projects, people and sense of community are outstanding.

The owner talks about us being a family, but we aren't a family at all.

I feel like I’m part of the ORGNIZATION family

Company/Organization

Definition - A company or organization is a legal and economic entity formed by a group of individuals or investors with the primary objective of conducting business activities for profit.

Competence/Knowledge/Expertise

Definition - Having the knowledge, skills and abilities to do one's tasks efficiently.

Keywords - knowledgeable, competent, confidence/ confidence (in one’s skill), incompetent, efficient, KSA (knowledge, skills, abilities), insightful, problem solving, resourceful, skill, ability

Examples - So glad my manager knows what the ledge looks like and knows exactly how to talk me down off of it!! Thank you for all of your wisdom and knowledge!!!

My manager has built a team that is close knit in both personality and skills.

My manager does their job well

My colleagues are completely INCOMPETENT

We hired an SME who I feel doesn't have the knowledge needed for the role.

Compliance

Definition - The actions and the policies an organization institutes to ensure that everyone within complies with internal/external rules, policies, definitions of what constitutes appropriate behavior and a safe working environment. Keywords - compliance

Examples - I like that this company has a strong emphasis on following the rules and laws. Last company I worked at was an ""anything goes"" environment and it was absolute chaos.

This company is a mess. I understand cutting costs to increase efficiency, but this cutting is done with virtually no consideration of the long term consequences for anything - provider abrasion, regulatory abrasion, member abrasion, employee moral and talent retention, litigation, legal compliance or overall structural effectiveness.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Definition - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the idea that a company should play a positive role in the community and consider the environmental and social impact of business decisions.

Keywords - volunteering, VTO, social responsibility, corporate responsibility, outreach

Examples - That the company is giving back to the communities through volunteering and fund raisings/gifts

I hope the volunteering and community events keep growing and we can get more involved with the areas we serve.

The company's environmental initiatives seem to be more about maintaining a public image than making a real impact. The efforts towards sustainability in the workplace are minimal and not well-integrated into the company culture

Culture/Work Environment

Definition - Culture refers to the shared behaviors, attitudes, and norms within an organization. It's the collective personality and atmosphere that characterizes how people interact and work together. In a broader context, it encompasses the overall work environment.

Examples - The firm's culture has continued to evolve over the 24 years that I have been here, but it still stays true to our core values.

The culture has deteriorated. ORGANIZATION no longer feels like a ""Blue"" company. I know ORGANIZATION was willing to change this culture in order to boost its reputation with investors. Changing the culture did not seem to pay off.

Decision Making

Definition - The action or process of making decisions as well as the quality of said decisions or effectiveness of said process.

Examples - My manager makes the worst decisions

I have a great deal of confidence in the decision making of management.

After 10 years of WFH flexibility, the decision to """"push in"""" is arbitrary as far as swiping a badge and is disappointing.

Delegation

Definition - The act of entrusting a task/responsibility to another person, typically one who is less senior than oneself.

Keywords - delegation, delegate, entrust, assign

Examples - I am dissatisfied with our company because I don't think management on my team has allocated work well and does not plan well for utilizing my time. It's very frustrating to be ready to do great work but then have no plan to follow for our team to complete work. The work gets done late on a regular basis and, even after voicing the concerns around planning, I don't see changes or even effort to change on management's part.

I feel that the management does not see much of the field. Some teams and supervisors throw most of the work to the team, or do not set things up properly.

I would like to see better scheduling of assignments and task, but over all everyone voice is heard.

Department/Team

Definition - A department is a separate functional area within an organization that has its own structure.

Keywords - Department, Team, unit

Examples - I have a good relationship with my team

It's not all bad because I get to interact with people from various departments.

In addition, it would be great if normal professional behavior was expected from all members of the team instead ""favorites"" getting away with repeated unprofessional behavior

Development/Career Opportunity

Definition - Employee development practices and experiences. Availability of and experiences with regards to professional opportunities.

Digital Transformation/IT Strategy

Definition - IT strategy refers to a plan which defines how technology should be utilized to meet IT and business goals. Digital transformation is the incorporation of computer-based technologies into an organization's products, processes and strategies.

Direct Manager

Definition - Direct manager refers to the manager, supervisor, or team leader directly above the commenter in the organizational hierarchy and to whom the commenter reports.

Examples - My boss was too strict and I got depressed.

Support and communication from my manager!

He needs to communicate more with his direct reports

Diversity/Equity/Inclusion

Definition - The concept represents a set of principles and practices aimed at creating a work environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds are treated fairly, have equal opportunities, and feel included.

Keywords - diverse, inclusive, included, discrimination, equal opportunity

Examples - she is very understanding and will work with you. she has a fun personality and does not talk down to you she makes you feel included in team meetings.

Jody provides constructive feedback and is open to outside of the box ideas and solutions to issues. She actively works to help everyone feel included in conversations about work and encourages teamwork and as well as independence. I highly respect Jody as both my manager and a person.

Qualified women of color aren't any given the courtesy of an interview. We aren't even the courtesy of a response to our submitted applications. The current career path for African Americans in this company is disgraceful."

Employee Commitment/Loyalty

Definition - The level of enthusiasm an employee has toward their organization, measured by how much they show their devotion to the success of their organization.

Examples - Younger employees are talking about when and where they will change jobs.

Many employees in the sales-related departments are new graduates and are highly motivated and loyal to the company.

I absolutely love the work that I do and the impact I have on the lives of our customers. I hope to be with the company all the way into retirement.

Employee Qualities

Definition - Personal Qualities that employees may have.

Employee Retention/Turn Over

Definition - This refers to the rate at which employees stay or leave a company over a certain period of time.

Keywords - turnover, leaving

Examples - People are wanting to stay now that their voices are being heard

The turnover for managers was extreme but my teammates were a pleasure to work with.

Employee retention, especially for talented younger stewards has been a massive issue. Those promoted from within are paid significantly less than their peers and end up leaving for large pay raises (30%).

Employee Voice/Decision-Making Involvement

Definition - Employee voice is often defined as giving people opportunities to express ideas, concerns, and perspectives. Decision-making involvement refers to including employees in the planning process for decisions related to company policies, strategies, etc. and allowing them to have input as well as give feedback on these decisions.

Keywords - have a voice, have/get a say, (able to) give feedback, be heard, opinions matter/are valued, involved/included in decisions, survey

Examples - Suggestions and opinions are not taken into consideration.

Like the fact that leadership does seem to pay attention to feedback from employees.

I feel like management listens and welcomes our feedback and opinions for day to day processes.

I do not feel I have a voice within this department.

Associates who actually perform daily work should be included in decision making processes that may affect their job duties."

Employees

Definition - The collection of workers performing services for a given organization in exchange for compensation.

Keywords - Employees, everyone, people, staff

Examples - Everyone has a caring and respectful attitude towards another.

The full time employees get better pay and benefits than the part time employees.

Just to elaborate regarding ""adapting easily to change""... there are a number of staff that aren't willing to change they like the ""status quo"" and when being held accountable, they don't like it and complain about management.

Employer Brand

Definition - An employer brand is what an organization communicates as its identity to both potential and current employees. Closely linked with the employee value proposition (EVP), the employer brand incorporates an organization's mission, values, culture and personality. The reputation for an organization consists of familiarity with the organization and beliefs about what to expect from the organization.

Examples - ORGANIZATION cares for their internal and external customers (external meaning their associates). ORGANIZATION in proactive in the market place has a good reputation.

The way the company has been relating to other companies and the public has been damaging our reputation

Smart people, good work culture at times, looks good on a resume.

Equipment/Hardware

Definition - Equipment refers to the physical resources that are needed by the end user for specific purposes, necessary for conducting activity and affect production quality and quantity. Hardware is simply the physical components of these physical resources that are required for them to function.

Keywords - equipment, hardware, computer, laptop, monitor, CPU, keyboard, mouse, phone

Examples - The PC given to us has only 4G memory and 20G HDD, so it can only run e-mail and Excel level.

The equipment (computer, etc.) is good quality.

The only area i think really needs improvement is the technology. The lack of updated systems and equipment in our department hinders our teams ability to effectively serve our members and complete work in a timely manner. For example the phone system went out last week and half of our team couldn't work for an hour. I think that an investment in updating old equipment and keeping up with the times would greatly increase productivity in our department as well as other departments.

Facilities

Definition - Facilities refers to the size and layout of the office building/workplace, the facilities offered in a workplace and the furnishings.

Examples - The inside of our building is looking good! HIgh tech! welcoming!

The floors and walls are falling apart and not much effort has been put into the office environment.

The restrooms always reek!

I really liked my old desk chair, but one day I came in and it had been taken away. I was left with a really squeaky chair. I want my old chair back!!

Fairness

Definition - Fairness in the workplace refers to an aspect of organizational justice with regards to both process and outcome impartiality. Some of the factors that support fair treatment in the workplace include mutual respect, strong interpersonal relationships and honest communication.

Examples - why are consultants allowed to be wearing jeans and sneakers when FTE are required to be in dress-code

My manager is very fair.

Very unhappy with one person able to do one thing and depending on who you are if you are able to do the same thing.

Feedback

Definition - Process of giving constructive criticism or advice to employees based on performance, behavior or skills.

Keywords - feedback, (constructive) criticism, review

Examples - One concern I've had in the past is feedback. I've asked multiple times for constructive feedback from my manager on a project and received very little.

I receive positive feedback for doing a good job.

I get regular positive feedback from the associates I engage with in workgroups around my knowledge. I am a team leader and my team also gives me positive feedback on my performance regularly as does my manager.

Flexibility

Definition - The ability/willingness to collaborate when making changes to when, where and how an employee will work to meet individual and business needs.

Keywords - flexible, flexibility, accommodating, stubborn, old-fashioned, open-minded, adaptable

Examples - He's honest with me and always has my back. Gives good feedback and is always available. He also understands that work shouldn't come before family and personal health. I appreciate his flexibility and, truthfully, work harder because of this.

It's very important for leaders to be more open-minded to the concerns and issues of their teams.

First, while there is a focus on culture, there is a """"old school"""" mentality about work at home at the SLT level.

Gym/Fitness

Definition - Employer-sponsored gym, fitness, and nutrition benefits help employees by covering the cost of a gym membership, fitness expenses, and nutrition guidance programs.

Examples - good benefits, free gym access

They offer classes to quit smoking they also offer various classes to stay healthy and fit.

We have to pay for gym access and the gym is so poorly equipped!

HR

Definition - HR departments are responsible for overseeing employee-benefits design, employee recruitment, training and development, performance appraisal, and reward management, such as managing pay and employee-benefits systems

Examples - I have made multiple complaints to HR about how my direct manager is treating her direct reports. They have ignored my complaints.

We have a strong HR team.

I wish HR would process my paperwork!

Health/Wellness

Definition - Any kinds of benefits related to improving and supporting employees' health and wellness including mental health

Keywords - yoga class, wellness screening, wellness check, wellness credits

Examples - Things like VTO (volunteer time off), additional paid vacation time, caregiver leave, wellness allowance, increased parental leave, etc.

I love the yoga class!

I lament that we no longer have the wellness checks at work I lament that the summer picnic was stopped

Human Capital (New)

Definition - Human capital describes the collective knowledge, skills, competencies of the people in an organization.

Keywords - knowledge, knowledge base, intellectual property

Examples - "Plenty of knowledge is leaving ORGANIZATION with the lay offs. The folks that are left have a harder job since the knowledge base of the company is diminishing." Human Capital > Org > Neg

"My manager is truly an asset to the organization." Human Capital > Pos

"Overall wonderful organization with a lot of talented individuals." Human Capital > Org > Pos

Human Resource Management

Definition - Human resource management is primarily concerned with the management of people within organizations, focusing on policies and systems.

Keywords - losing/keeping job, outsourcing, offshoring, redundancy, made redundant, hiring freeze

Examples - Whenever there is a deterioration in business performance, the company immediately starts cutting off non-regular workers. 2 years ago, regulations were established and the personnel system was changed to one in which temporary workers can be easily fired based on the boss's likes and dislikes.

You can stop this consolidation and shipping jobs overseas to save money.

We all appreciate the higher ups bringing jobs back from overseas.

##Internet Access

Definition - The ease of access to the internet, as well as the general quality of the internet connection.

Keywords - Internet, internet connection

Examples - “I keep loosing internet connection when I am on Skype.”

“People have less internet connection issues when working from home than when in the office. Perhaps you could invest in some IT.”

IT Support/Help Desk

Definition - The support provided by the IT Department/Help Desk, which includes, but is not limited to, ongoing expert advice and guidance, management and administration of IT systems, remote and on-site support for IT issues, and backup and disaster recovery of servers and data.

Examples - Online IT Help desk is not very effective, but I got my issues resolved by approaching IT front desk.

Helpdesk is absolutely useless! They never get back to you, if not to tell you to ""turn your device off and on again.""

IT Support desk answered my calls and delivered prompt service when I needed a computer replacement this year.

IT/Technology

Definition - The IT resources, department and technology and technology use within the organization.

Incentives/Commission/On Target Earnings (New)

Definition - Incentives are rewards designed to motivate individuals, commission is a form of performance-based compensation tied to sales, and on target earnings (OTE) encompass the total expected compensation, including base salary and variable components, based on achieving specific goals.

Examples - Commissions were taken away from Sales, and we were not made whole.

Annual Incentives were paid out maybe once or twice in the 9 years I've been employed. Senior management sends emails boasting profits at year end, yet in most cases, we do not receive an AIP payout. It would be nice to receive this financial incentive when the company's profits allow for doing so. Employees feel most appreciated and valued when they are compensated for their efforts.

Informal Learning

Definition - Informal Learning is a form of training provided at the workplace whereby employees are familiarized with the working environment they will become part of and the tasks they will be doing through practical, hands-on training at the job location, doing the job itself rather than learning about it in theory in the classroom.

Keywords - OJT, on the job training, (job) shadowing, side by side (training), one-on-one training, Y – jacking, peer trainer, buddy, local person/partner, knowledge transfer, teaching, learning in an informal setting

Examples - (My manager/coworkers/she) teaches/educates me.

My manager always is available to me. She listens and educates equally.

My time with my local person as I job shadowed.

The person I shadowed with didn't know how to do the job. After a day I was better than him.

Infrastructure

Definition - IT infrastructure refers to the composite resources and services required for the existence, operation and management of an enterprise IT environment.

Keywords - infrastructure, server room, core system

Examples - IT infrastructure to support remote work, etc. is well developed.

Initiatives

Definition - Any sort of company initiatives which aim for example to strengthen company culture or improve employee engagement.

Keywords - initiative

Examples - Great ideas for new programs and initiatives, though these sometimes seem they are lacking the necessary details, planning, and organization to effectively roll out.

The addition of a culture committee i think will be a good change.

I was skeptical of the culture conversations at first, but now I really like them. As a manager, I appreciate that you are making it easy for us to have the conversations and guiding us on what we need to talk about. I'm them rehearing the message from Prakash, from Brandon, and then from my manager. Some things are easier to talk about than others. I think the most successful conversation we had was with the Filters, so anything you can provide that engages people right at the beginning is most helpful. The mood elevator works, too. I was meeting with some of my team and I said """"This is irritating."""" One of my team members said, well maybe we could get on the mood elevator and be patient which made us all laugh and changed the tone. So, thanks for doing this. I think it is great!

Innovation

Definition - Implementing new ideas, creating game-changing, dynamic, and/or influential products, or improving upon existing services in order to build a successful business.

Keywords - innovation, innovative

Examples - Continue the innovation and meeting members where their needs are.

We are a company that is out of fresh ideas.

Innovative spirit and genuine concern for our members

Insurance

Definition - Insurance plan offered by employer, typically including some basic coverage packages.

Keywords - insurance

Examples - None - they were terrible ; I was overworked and when I fell ill, ORGANIZATION found a loophole to avoid paying my disability insurance

The benefits are amazing, I am a W@H employee and the insurance is incredibly affordable for my family.

There are also nice perks including discounts on cell phone, weight watchers and car insurance.

Integrity

Definition - A quality of a person's core value of being honest and having strong moral principles and having a desire to do what is right.

Keywords - integrity, honesty, ethical, trustworthy, genuine, sincere, authentic

Examples - Many people are not serious and dishonest/injustice/committing illegal acts.

One thing I appreciate about my manager is that he is a very honest man.

Managers are unethical, bias, and untrustworthy. I heard them gossip about other managers and employees on the floor.

Internal Recruitment (New)

Definition - Internal recruiting is the process of hiring someone from your existing workforce for a new or vacant position.

Keywords - Hire from within, internal candidates

Examples - ORGANIZATION promotes from within when possible, which is good for associate retention.

Is there an effort made by ORGANIZATION to hire from within? It seems extremely difficult to find a position as internal associate.

The company doesn't seem to like to hire from within. The managers were hired from outside and gave no idea what they're doing.

Hire from within a lot but usually decided on before it is even posted.

Often on internal hires, we don't pursue feedback from previous managers or review prior performance evaluations. Job postings are too vague for internal and external applicants to understand, especially for those looking to make a career change.

Job Performance Assessment

Definition - Overall employees' performance evaluation policy including the performance review itself as well as the process and metrics for evaluations for a pay raise and promotion.

I cannot speak for everyone, but I know the wfh privilege has done wonders for my mental health and overall well-being.

Onboarding virtually has made it difficult to connect with people - I compare this to last summer's experience as an intern and I feel like I got to know so many more people and at a deeper level.

I don't feel there was enough help in transitioning into the position and I don't think those that were supposed to be providing help were very willing even when directly asking them for help.

For a large company, they do quite well at initiating change quite rapidly compared to others.

My manager often offers her assistance whenever needed and especially during organizational changes within the department, which makes her a great manager to work for.

There is not one month where anything stays the same. For months we were all worried about our jobs and getting let go.

Organizational Resources (New)

Definition - Organizational Resources represent all resources available to the organization and necessary for the performance of its activities.

Examples - There is a lack of understanding by and funding of IT where it is sourced outside of ORGANIZATION.

The lay offs and the cut in the funding for projects is a buzz killer on the morale.

I had a terrible experience with one team member. Arrived early to work one day and found my coworkers having an unfavorable conversation about me. The tension among the team members was not an environment I wanted to be part of...not a positive group of people.

Role Clarity

Definition - Role clarity is the degree to which employees have a clear understanding of their tasks, responsibilities and processes at work.

We are faced with a program that create additional stress in the work place as constant errors occur and when asked to send feedback the response from the local project admin is to use a older system

I would like to see more PTO accrual rates at every 5 years of service mark. I would also like to see an actual sick time given for those that have at least 10 years of service. Make it an incentive to not call out, not be on warnings (verbal/written). This comes from knowledge of other companies in the area and how they handle sick and vacation time separately.

Definition - Career development can refer to the organization's planning of the development of employee skills to achieve their business goals as well as the process an employee may undergo to develop their skills for their role, occupational status or career goals. Employee training is a program that is designed to increase the technical skills, knowledge, efficiency, and value creation to do any specific job.

He believes that my decisions are correct and does not second guess. I feel empowered to challenges that I will complete the task.

VPN

Definition - The ease of access to the VPN (Virtual Private Network), as well as the general quality of the VPN connection.

Examples - A more responsive VPN.

The VPN was fixed and now works better.

Virtual Meetings

Definition - Meeting conducted through virtual technology such as Skype, Zoom, Conference calls, etc.

Examples - Skype for Business meetings has been hit / miss. People drop from calls all the time.

Definition - All aspects of the working life which affect employees' overall health and happiness.

I did not feel that there was any intention to protect the health of employees

Work Environment

Definition - Categories around work environment. Work environment is the setting, social features and physical conditions at a workplace.

Work Location

Definition - Location in which employee performs their job.

Keywords - client site, satellite office, commute, commuting

Examples - After going to a permanent location, the rules there are primary, so there was little sense of belonging, although there was not entirely no follow-up from the head office.

Few work at the head office and most are stationed at the customer's site.

Commute is ok

Satellite office is close to home.

I wanted to stay at ORGANIZATION because I thought it was a really great company, however, when they relocated to New Jersey I knew that I wouldn't be able to commute. Therefore, I quit.

I had asked to change my position several time due to no longer being able to travel in a daily basis between clinics, I was denied being able to move position.

Work Schedule

Definition - Work schedule here means job hours, time allocated for work. It determines typical work hours (e.g. 8 hours per day), dates and times when employees are supposed to work.

Examples - The employees only have 30 minutes for lunch.

Nice lunch break.

It will be great if the company could offer 12 or 10 hours a day shift, to work 3 or 4 days of the week.

I want to be able to work part time.

Working long hours is not required but it is completely expected.

Work Stress

Definition - Stress that is generated due to demands in one's job.

Keywords - stress, stressful, feel pressure

Examples - It is easy to take time off and the relationships are very calm and stress-free.

System migrations along with renewals for 4th Q I think were bad timing.. a lot of stress making sure plans are renewing correctly and in what systems etc.

Finally a job where I'm not constantly feeling stressed out.

I am sometimes asked by my boss to do things or get involved in new tasks, which keeps me busy and stressed.

Every day, there are many things to do and sometimes I feel crushed by the pressure of the tremendous sense of responsibility.

Work-Life Balance

Definition - Work-life balance is the fine balance between an employee’s work and personal life.

Examples - You lose time with your family

There is no work life balance for the employee.

Environment is flexible and cool so that I am able to manage work life balance :)

Working Conditions

Definition - Generally speaking, working conditions cover a broad range of topics and issues, from working time (hours of work, rest periods, and work schedules) to remuneration, as well as the physical conditions and mental demands that exist in the workplace.

Keywords - working conditions, working arrangements

Examples - Diversity in the workplace, comfortable working conditions, work life balance, offer work at home opportunities, the various incentive payouts are new to me but nice.

ORGANIZATION did nothing correctly. From day 1 my position was a lie and working conditions were terrible

Workload

Definition - The number of tasks and obligations that an individual must perform or complete within a specific amount of time.

Keywords - workload, overworked

Examples - Too much work, too little time!!

After we hired more people, the workload got better spread out and now we aren't overworked to the same degree anymore.

We seem to underestimate the amount of work/hours are actually required to complete a project which results in a lot of stress later on.
