This article lists the topics used in the Employee Learning Intelligence (ELI) analysis type and provides definitions, keywords and examples to help you navigate, filter and understand your analyses and the insights they contain. The topics are listed in alphabetical order and any specific topic can be located quickly by clicking on Control F on the page and entering the name of the topic.
The examples for each topic come directly from our annotation team and represent real comments used to train our analysis types. In addition, the keywords and definitions are included to provide you with context and a better understanding of how MLY uses each topic to provide insights.

Definition - The attribute of being easy to meet or deal with; showing friendliness or possessing friendly disposition.

Assistance
Definition - The action of assisting, supporting or aiding.

Audio/Video
Definition - Material used for training which has an audio and/or video component.

Availability
Definition - The ease of which a person or thing is accessible; an element’s presence in the training.

Definition - Impact of the learner’s training experience on their career/employment trajectory.
Clarity
Definition - The level of simplicity of verbal or written communication; how easy or clear something is to understand/comprehend.

Definition - Interaction or input coming from the students.

Definition - Tasks or projects to be completed by learners over the course of the training.

Definition - Anything that saves or simplifies work or adds to one's ease; not requiring a great deal of effort to obtain/take advantage of.

Definition - The state of being invested in the teaching of the material in question.

Depth
Definition - The level to which information is discussed and topics are explored.

Definition - The amount of mental exertion required by the learner to complete a task.

Discussion
Definition - Open conversation used to increase understanding of topics.

Definition - Exhibiting variety.

Definition - Sense of excitement or positive energy imparted during the training.

Definition - A series of items used to assess the understanding of the training.

Definition - Knowledge of the topic(s) being taught and/or the way they should be taught due to previous training and exposure.

Explanations
Definition - Detailed information provided to clarify a concept; a statement or reasoning that makes something clear.

Definition - Comments provided by the instructor based on the performance of the learner.

Format
Definition - The way in which a given entity/entities are formatted in reference to their online or physical formatting.
Keywords - In-person, Online, Take-home

Group Work/Activities
Definition - Projects, assignments, or activities to be completed by learners in teams.

Definition - An external speaker invited to share their expertise or experience.

Definition - The quality of providing aid to the learners to allow them to understand more easily the material or to otherwise facilitate the learning process.

Importance
Definition - The amount of significance provided for a given item; the quality or condition of being important.

Instructions
Definition - Steps to follow in order to achieve a specific result.
Keywords - Instructions, directions, guidelines

Instructiveness
Definition - The quality of conveying knowledge or information.

Definition - The person who gives the training.
