BPI Language Options
This topic details the behavior and settings required to support multiple languages through BPI, Blue Connector, Blue and an LMS.
BPI and Multiple Languages
BPI is monolingual, meaning that it only supports one language per instance. When integrating Blue with an LMS via BPI, the default language of all blocks can be either English, French, or Spanish. When you define the default language in BPI, you are setting the language for all users. Although BPI blocks will be in the default language, the tasks that participants access will be made available in the language(s) you made available in the Blue project.
Set BPI Default Language
- Navigate to Settings
- Go to General Settings
- Choose the default language for BPI block in your LMS from the Language drop down
- Select Save
- Apply the settings immediately by navigating to Settings - BPI Database Sync, and select Synchronize now
BPI will only show tasks and reports from projects that match its default language. For example, if BPI’s language is set to Spanish, it will only show tasks and reports from Blue projects where Spanish is selected as one of its languages.
