Send emails to raters in their preferred language
Email notifications can be sent to participants in projects or reports in their preferred language. This creates a more personal interaction that may result in an increase in response rates. To take advantage of this functionality in Blue, you must first ensure that the user datasource contains language information for each user.
Add Language Preference Data to a user datasource
Before importing a datasource into Blue, make sure to add a column for language preference. This column must contain the language code that corresponds to the users' preferred language. Language codes can be found here: Supported languages in Blue.
An example of a datasource structure including language information:
Example of a User datasource including language information
UserID | FirstName | LastName | BlueRole | Language | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
ahuxley | Aldous | Huxley | ahuxley@example.com | 3 | en-us |
jsabine | Jaime | Sabines | jsabines@example.com | 3 | es-es |
myan | Mo | Yan | myan@example.com | 23 | zh-cn |
cbaudelaire | Charles | Baudelaire | cbaudelaire@example.com | 23 | fr-fr |
kgibran | Khalil | Gibran | kgibran@example.com | 23 | ar-qa |
mbulgakov | Mikhail | Bulgakov | mbulgakov@example.com | 23 | ru-ru |
Once the language information has been added to the data, the user datasource can be uploaded to Blue.
If the user’s preferred language is not supported in the project (as defined by the mapped language field in the user datasource), correspondence will be provided in all languages that the project supports. However, if the user doesn't specify a preferred language, the default language specified in the Blue license will be used..
