BlueX 2.0 release notes

These releases notes provide a summary of new features, fixed issues, and known issues included in the latest BlueX updates.

New reporting widgets allow users to create bar charts, pie charts, heat maps, data tables, and cross-tabulations to analyze and present survey results. These widgets make it easier to analyze and present results in a structured, visual format. In addition, each widget includes a breakdown feature that lets users compare responses between two survey questions or analyze results by demographics, locations, or departments. This allows users to uncover more nuanced insights to better understand respondent behaviors and preferences.

Widgets can be added, renamed, resized, rearranged, or removed, and organized into collapsible sections that retain their state between sessions. Global filters and confirmation messages enhance usability, and a copy-to-clipboard feature allows quick image capture of widgets for easy sharing.

SHARING SURVEYS

Surveys and templates can be shared with other Survey Creators and not necessarily only those with Admin privileges for collaborative review. Shared items allow recipients to modify or update the content as needed.

SURVEY APPROVAL FLOW

The survey approval flow introduces a structured process for managing survey publication privileges. Users without direct publishing rights can submit a request for approval, which is then reviewed by a “Survey Approver” or a user with approval privileges. This ensures that all published surveys meet organizational standards and comply with relevant policies.

BLUEX INTEGRATION WITH BLUE USER DATASOURCE AND AUTHENTICATION

The new integration offers enhanced data automation with scheduled updates and SSO mapping, while providing a consistent, secure single sign-on experience across both platforms. It introduces simplified user management through centralized identity and access control, along with customizable group and user permissions. Furthermore, user creation is made flexible via the UI, data connectors, or CSV.

WCAG 2.2 CERTIFICATION

BlueX 2.0 is WCAG 2.2 certified for fillout, ensuring that the user experience while completing surveys meets the latest web accessibility standards.

Compatibility

BlueX 2.0 is compatible with Blue 9.5 and newer (when available)

Patches

An official patch has addressed these issues. If you are affected by any of these issues, please contact your Explorance representative to plan your update. A patch is a product update that is delivered between major releases and contains issues that have been addressed. Patches are always cumulative and build on the earlier patches.

- An issue has been fixed that would occur when attempting to add condition criteria to a date/time question. When selecting criteria the application would become unresponsive. (BXP-2101)
