Select your respondents

Respondents are the people who participate by providing responses to the survey. Every survey needs an audience, but not all respondents need to be explicitly identified

Private versus public surveys

There are two kinds of surveys:

  • Private surveys: A survey accessible only to a pre-defined group of respondents.
  • Public surveys : A survey open to anyone with access to the link. All responses in a public survey are anonymous.

Private Survey

In a private survey, data is collected from a specific group of people defined by the survey creator, which will all have their own personalized questionnaire and unique survey link for tracking.

The following are the steps to manage respondents:

  1. Upload your respondents
  2. Select respondent data to include in the survey
  3. Refine and select your respondents

Public Survey

With a public survey, any anonymous person with a survey link can provide their response. For public survey access control you can enable the following:

  • Captcha: To prevent bots from accessing the survey and skewing the results.
  • IP Control: Restricts access to pre-approved IP addresses. Only respondents from these IPs can view the survey. To learn more, consult Publish your survey.
