Understand the BlueX survey lifecycle

A BlueX project will normally go through the following stages:

Step 1: Get your respondents involved.

If your survey is going to be distributed to a specific group of respondents (private survey), you need to upload a list of respondents from an Excel or CSV file. You can also publish a public survey and collect confidential responses.

Step 2: Create your survey.

Start designing the content and questions of the survey with the selection of tools BlueX has to offer. There are different types of questions that allow you to collect responses. You can also configure advanced logic actions that make your survey experience unique and relevant to each respondent. Make sure to use all the structural and organizational tools to highlight your survey content.

Step 3: Invite your respondents by email.

If your survey is public, you do not need to send invitation emails from BlueX; instead, a link will be generated that you can distribute at your discretion. If you know who you want to complete the survey, you can customize the email notifications, and establish a schedule when different email notifications will be sent in order to obtain high response rates and collect the data you need.

Step 4: Distribute the survey to its respondents.

Set a start and end date for the data collection, and send the survey off!

IMPORTANT

Preview and test your survey before publishing. Once published, a survey cannot be stopped or canceled until it reaches the end of its response collection period (The period during which participants can respond to the questionnaire). Any changes made after publishing will not affect what is already published.

Step 5: Update the survey while its running (optional).

Make changes to certain aspects of your survey during the data collection period. This is called versionning.

Step 6: Reap the data.

You can monitor response data as it is received, then export responses too!
