Introduction to Dashboards
Dashboards are a highly visual way for data to be shared. They are composed of widgets that can be configured to include metrics and data based on your needs, or those of your stakeholders. Depending on the type of widget, users can drill down within the widget or link to Data Explorer to explore the data behind metrics displayed. Executive, Instructor, Instructor Manager, Course owner, Conference, L&D / Operations, and ILT vs Online Training dashboards are available as templates which can be personalized to the user’s requirements, or a new dashboard can be configured from scratch.
MTM Dashboards allow you to display key metrics and graphical views of your data through a series of widgets that can be configured to suit your needs. Dashboards are designed to be customized from both a metrics and visual standpoint.
Dynamic
These dashboards are dynamic, as the data refreshes every time you access the dashboard tool. Additionally, the data will update when filters are applied / changed, or when the date ranges are updated.
Configurable
Dashboards are configurable in that widgets can be added, re-arranged, or resized, to provide the needed visual format. Filters can be applied to display the needed data. Benchmarks and secondary benchmarks (where applicable) can be applied to provide a comparison to an internal or external reference point.
Shareable
Dashboards can be shared with other MTM users to create a standard dashboard that can be leveraged throughout the organization. They can also be exported (either the entire dashboard or individual widgets) to a .png file for easy data visualizations to use in emails or presentations.
Global settings
Global actions apply to all widgets within the dashboard
- renaming the dashboard
- filtering the metrics
- modifying the date range
- exporting the dashboard view to a .png file
- sharing the dashboard.
