Key improvements:
- Configure thresholds for High Confidence (≥85%) or Broader Coverage (65–85%).
- Alerts are reclassified automatically based on the selected sensitivity.
- Comment Explorer displays the alert score for each alert, enabling users to review analysis results and adjust sensitivity as needed.
Quota Explanation Tooltips (MLY 3.2)
Quota consumption clarity has been enhanced with new Quota Explanation Tooltips across Analysis Settings.
Key improvements:
- Question-mark icons provide instant explanations of which actions do or do not consume quota.
- Clear guidance is available for comment column selection, excluded comments, analysis types, glossary, and respondent ID changes.
- Users can configure and adjust analyses knowing in advance whether quota will be consumed.
REDACTION (MLY 3.0)
Admins can generate lists of inappropriate language, personal names, and sensitive information which can be used by the system to identify and redact content. In addition, if enabled, certain users can request further redactions while reviewing a shared analysis. Learn more: Redact an analysis.
SUMMARY (MLY 3.0)
This concise, natural language summarized analysis provides key insights from your results, emphasizing the most discussed topics, most positive aspects, and areas that need improvement. It serves as a quick starting point for identifying focus areas to review, and for rapidly gaining a high-level awareness of what truly matters. Learn more: Summary
UPDATED ANALYSIS TYPES (MLY 3.0)
Recent enhancements to the analysis types (SEI, ELI, EEI) now enable MLY to generate almost twice the insights compared to the previous release. This increased volume of insights includes additional topics and ensures a more comprehensive and detailed analysis.
MULTILINGUAL ANALYSIS (MLY 3.0)
When uploading data to add more comments to MLY after the initial analysis, users can select a column within the dataset to be used as a unique identifier. This helps MLY detect and analyze only the latest comments, eliminating duplicate entries. As a result, only the most recent comments are sent for analysis and, if integrated with MTM, to the MLY API. Learn more: Supported languages
ENHANCED INSIGHTS MANAGEMENT' (MLY 3.0)
On the analysis Comment explorer page, users can add tags, categories, and notes to comments. These new features allow for better organization and prioritization of feedback. Customers can also specify the comment topic(s) when sending feedback to the MLY team, aiding in the continuous improvement of analytics. Learn more: Organize and manage insights in Comment explorer
ANALYSIS TYPE ENHANCEMENTS (MLY 2.0)
More topics have been added to the Student Experience Intelligence (SEI), Employee Experience Intelligence (EEI) and Employee Learning Intelligence (ELI) analysis types to uncover more insights that will broaden the analyses and bolster psychological safety around feedback delivery. To view a list of all the topics with definitions, keywords and examples, click on the links above.
WIDGET UPDATES (MLY 2.0)
The widgets section has been enhanced with new features and new widgets. Users can now:
- Organize related widgets within groups to easily locate and access pertinent insights.
- Visualize results using two key insights such as topics, recommendation types, sentiment types or demographic data using a breakdown functionality. They can also further filter the results displayed in the widgets with additional demographic data that facilitates deeper dives into specific insights.
- View the top 5, 10 or 20 Most representative comments in their widgets to help reveal the main sentiments or recommendations related to a topic.
- Access the following 5 new widgets: All alerts, All sentiments, All recommendations, Categorized recommendations, and Prioritized recommendations that expand the tools available to quickly understand the important insights for each analysis and to make informed decisions, if needed. Click Widgets for more details.
NEW COMMENT DATA CLEANUP TOOL (MLY 2.0)
MLY can now identify non-essential feedback such as ‘N/A’, ‘No comments’, or short non-explicit responses of 5 words or less from feedback comments that admin and analyst users can bulk select and exclude from the analysis. This new functionality efficiently streamlines the dataset and generates more cost-effective, impactful analyses. Click Import and analyze data for more details.
SHARING ANALYSES (MLY 1.8)
Analysts and Administrators can share their analyses with other users in the MLY environment:
- to collaborate together to further explore the insights, or
- to share the results with individual or groups of users who can quickly take action to solve issues and improve outcomes.
User and data demographic filters can be used to customize the user’s view of the analysis and to allow or disallow access to specific features such as Allow user to export data. In addition, the user demographics uploaded into MLY are not visible in the filters of the analysis unless selected, thus preserving the confidentiality of these demographics.
GUEST ROLE (MLY 1.8)
To allow clients to implement sharing quickly across their environments, a new Guest user role has been created. This role is a non-licensed user with no associated limit on the number of guests that can be uploaded into MLY.
ALL / MY / SHARED WITH ME ANALYSIS LIST (MLY 1.8)
The analysis list has been split into 3 lists to provide an All analyses list for administrators, My analyses list for analysts and administrators, and Shared with me list for any users who has been selected when an analysis has been shared.
MOST REPRESENTATIVE COMMENTS (MLY 1.8)
The Most representative comments feature was added to the Topic explorer and displays a Topic summary for each sub-topic, listing the top 5, 10 or 20 most relevant sentiments or recommendations. These top scored comments help reveal the main sentiments or recommendations related to that topic.
USER LIST BULK IMPORT (1.8)
Administrators can quickly bulk import multiple users to MLY using a CSV or XLSX file. This file must contain basic user data settings such as email, first and last name, role, language, email notification, and basic authentication. In addition, authentication data such as SSO providers with user IDs and other user demographics can be uploaded to allow advanced conditional filtering when setting up analysis sharing.
LICENSE MANAGEMENT (MLY 1.8)
A new self-service option enables administrators to view how many comments have been analyzed and the number of user licenses allocated vs their licensing. They can also set a notification to be sent to a specific email address when the analyzed comments reach a certain percentage of their licensing limit. This allows administrators to easily view their licensing limits and plan future activities in the system.
CUSTOMIZED ANALYSIS OPTIMIZATION (1.7)
The customized analysis process has been streamlined to optimize users’ access to the results. When comments are analyzed using EEI, ELI or SEI, the corresponding customized analysis that uses one of these analysis types as its foundation, will be run at the same time and kept in memory. This innovative approach significantly reduces the time required to apply the customized model, ensuring a more time-efficient and responsive system.
ENHANCED ANALYSIS SETTINGS (1.7)
You can now select multiple question / response columns when choosing the analysis settings options for your data file to include more insights in a single analysis and more filter options to view the insights. Click Import and analyze data to learn more.
OVERVIEW (MLY 1.7)
This screen enables you to quickly grasp which insights matter the most in your multi-model analysis using a combination of graphs, bars and pie charts to highlight key sentiments, topics, recommendations, and alerts.
QUICK ANALYSIS (MLY 1.7)
Individual comments can be instantly analyzed using any analysis so that you can preview the results.
NOTIFICATION CENTER (MLY 1.7)
Notification alerts in the left side taskbar let you know when your analyses, imports, and exports are completed so that you can continue your review or share the results.
ENHANCED VIEWS (1.7)
Sentiments and Recommendations now have dedicated views in the Topic explorer for easier access.
FRENCH DASHBOARD USER INERFACE (UI) (MLY 1.7)
French speaking users can now select the French UI as their dashboard language to analyze their comments more easily and review the results in their preferred language.
ENHANCED RESULTS (MLY 1.7)
Drill down on any insight displayed in the Overview screen to discover the comments related to the results, then filter by any related topic or demographic. These advanced filtering options enable you to sift through vast amounts of comments with ease and precision uncovering more details about the comment's context or root cause, as well as spotting trends, issues and recommendations that help you decide what action(s) to take.
UPDATES TO PREVIOUS ANALYSES (MLY 1.7)
Your previous analyses were re-analyzed during this update to include the Recommendations attributes (do more, do less, start, stop, continue, and change), Global sentiment and the Alert score for each comment analyzed. In addition, to make the features more user-friendly, we have updated some of the captions. See the Captions changelog for more details.
SSO INTEGRATION (MLY 1.6)
MLY now supports SSO to simplify the log in process for your users.
STREAMLINED UI FOR GLOSSARIES AND CUSTOM MODELS (MLY 1.6)
New user interfaces have been added to manage Glossaries and Custom models (formerly referred to as Topic views) to provide users an enhanced ability to adapt their analyses to their unique organizational needs and access sorting and drag and drop features to make it easy to create these valuable tools.
EXPORTED FILES (MLY 1.6)
All analyzed data exported from MLY is now managed in Exported files to provide users easy access to manage and download their current and past Excel files.
PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS (MLY 1.6)
- Files uploaded for analysis can now contain up to 249,000 comments (up from 100,000).
- The Dashboard has received a number of performance enhancements to speed up the time required to display the analysis.
- The Topics Explorer, where users can explore data using tools such as drill-down and slice and dice, is up to 9x faster.
Known issues
COMMENT EXCLUSION FEATURE COULD PREVENT SOME LANGUAGES FROM BEING ANALYZED (MLY 3.0)
Comments written in Japanese, Chinese, and other languages where spaces are not used to separate words, may inadvertently be excluded from the analysis if the "Exclude all comments with five words or less" has been used.
FLAGS AND DISCUSSION THREADS DELETED WHEN REPROCESSING ANALYSIS (MLY 3.0)
Flags and discussion threads are directly linked to specific comments. When an analysis is reprocessed using a different analysis type, the system deletes the existing analysis to generate new insights. This reprocessing results in the loss of these annotations, creating a challenge for users who rely on them for context and additional information.
Fixed issues
DATA DUPLICATING WITH MULTIPLE IMPORTS (fixed in MLY 3.2)
Fixed an issue in Blue reports integrated with MLY that resulted in data being duplicated in situations where an analysis was started in Blue but then canceled and restarted again in Blue which resulted in multiple analysis being uploaded at the same time with the same data resulting in duplicates. (SUPP-267)
FRENCH TOPICS NOT DISPLAYED (fixed in: MLY 1.8)
When using the French user interface, some of the Topics in the analysis are not displayed.
SOME FILES WILL FAIL TO UPLOAD AND BE ANALYZED (fixed in: MLY 1.8)
When uploading comment files for analysis similar to a Word format where all data is in the first column, the upload may not move beyond the uploading status. (BlueML-1777)
UNABLE TO ANALYZE FRENCH COMMENTS IN MULTILINGUAL MODEL (fixed in: MLY 1.8)
When analyzing a set of French comments in a language upload file, the analysis does not complete and returns an error. (BlueML-1355)
Retired features
SRA NO LONGER OFFERED AS A STAND ALONE ANALYSIS TYPE
Since the SRA (Sentiment, Recommendations, Alerts) analysis type is always included in every analysis generated by MLY, the standalone SRA analysis type has been removed from the drop-down selection lists in both the Analysis settings and the Quick analysis screens.
